At first, I was skeptical as the writers start off with a civics lesson on the 2d and 4th Amendments to the Constitution, but it's clear they know what they are doing. They efficiently led you into how your gun rights evolved and how the 2d Amendment really does grant individuals rights contrasted to those who claim raising a militia equals raising an Army. It gives you real world examples of how to stay out of trouble and how to use your head when carrying a gun. My wife has been asking me a lot of questions about when you can use a gun and I am going to pick out the most important chapter(s) and get her to read it. You may have gone through the LTC class and read some on gun ownership and responsibilities, but until you read this book, you have not truly been exposed to all the "nuances" the law can throw at you. It's clear to me, any use of the gun will result in horrendous scrutiny by everyone involved. I hope to never use it...except at the practice range. This book, however, should be required reading for all gun owners...even if not a Texas resident. Much of it is applicable to any state of residence. This is a must read.

I have only had the book a few days so I have not looked completely through it. I do know so far that I have a lot more questions to resolve. I will be attending another seminar soon to ask many of those questions.
It is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone who has a LTC.
